History
As veterinary naturopathic docter, Henk Koopman (1953) dedicated his life very consciously to develop a natural alternative to antibiotics. He was convinced that the frequent use of these medicines would eventually lead to insurmountable problems for our cattle and horse population. For him, it is an indisputable fact that an antibiotic does not cure a disease but temporarily suppresses the symptoms and as a result of that the body's immune system wil be deteriorated. Therefore began his quest for a natural alternative that provides the body with substances to bring the immune system in optimal state of preparedness and therefore able to tackle infections or the threat of infections by the body itself. After twenty years of research and development the herbal medicine 'Microbioticum' was launched on the market. Intended for use in livestock. The drug was tested extensively and the successful efficiency was proven indisputable. Not only by farmers, they saw that the health and productivity of their cows did increase, but also by independent researchers. These researchers noted that using Microbioticum results in a dramatic increase in the number of white blood cells (responsible for the functioning of the immune system). The logical next step was the recent introduction of Hippodinal: a derivative product based on almost the same ingredients but in proportions adapted to the fragile digestive system of the horse. Hippodinal is used to boost the immune system so that many diseases can be prevented.

Production
The used parts of the plants for Hippodinal are drawn in alcohol, allowing the active substances to gather in the liquid. After 22 days the herbs will also be pressed to achieve a maximum rate of active substance. At the end of the production process, the liquid will be filtered and packaged. A conditioned storage ensures the ideal storage temperature between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius. The laboratoryproduction has received the GMP code 104560 (Good Practice manufacuring) of the Commodity Feed in The Hague. Through this code the quality of the Feed sector will be guaranteed.
